1953 Franklin NGC PF 67 STAR CAMEO CAC

NGC Designated Star Coins Offer Phenomenal Eye-Appeal and Much More...

I am always on the hunt for Star designated coins by NGC! There are so many reasons a proof Franklin can receive a Star designation. A star can be granted for specimens that offer attractive color, Ultra Cameo contrast on the obverse, heavy cameo contrast bordering on Ultra Cameo, and the heaviest Ultra Cameo devices on both obverse and reverse. You know, the best of the best! Star examples have always been a favorite of mine and I know there are many others who will agree with me.

1953 Franklin NGC PF 67 STAR CAMEO CAC

Here we have the fourth edition of one of the finest Proof Franklin half dollar collections in the NGC Registry. This is one of the finest contrasted 1953 proof Franklins I have handled hands down! 1953 proof Franklins are extremely rare with contrast this intense. NGC has only certified 48 total examples to date in all grades of Ultra Cameo. There are only 9 examples certified by NGC in PF 67 ULTRA CAMEO right now and this example that we have here is bordering on being the 10th one! This example was granted a STAR designation for the intense MATCHING CAMEO+ devices on BOTH obverse AND reverse. Finding a 1953 proof Franklin with contrast this intense is extremely rare. Deserving every inch of that Star designation and some! The fields are jet-black with spot-free, haze-free surfaces. Could be the finest contrasted 1953 proof Franklin in 67 CAMEO! NGC as only certified 9 examples in PF 67 STAR CAMEO to date. Extremely rare!
